Rubens Poussin and the 17th century artists
This exhibition offers a unique view of two great artistic movements of the 17th century: Flemish Baroque painting, of which Rubens is the chief protagonist, and the French Classical school led by Poussin and the influence they had on each other. The Jacquemart-André Museum has set out to write a new page in the history of art.
Bruegel, Memling, Van Eyck... The Brukenthal collection
From 11 September 2009 to 11 January 2010, the Musée Jacquemart-André hosted, for the first time in Paris, an outstanding selection of works by the great Flemish masters of the 14th to 18th centuries, including Bruegel, Memling, van Eyck, amongst others.
The Italian Primitives. The Altenburg collection
Considered to be one of the largest collections of Italian Primitives outside Italy, the exceptional works collected during the 19th century by Bernard von Lindenau are to be shown for the first time in Paris, from 11 March to 21 June 2009, at the Jacquemart-André Museum.
